Dr. Shizumi Shimizu is a faculty member of the Liberal Arts Department of Education of Teikyo University. He also serves as the Chairman of the Mathematics Certification Institute of Japan and of the Japan Society of Mathematical Education.
Prior to his post as a professor of Teikyo University, he taught Mathematics Education courses at the Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Science of the University of Tsukuba in Japan. His research interests include lesson study research.
